Sorema has a rich history spanning over 50 years, built by a dedicated team with a shared vision of becoming a world-class manufacturer of bath linens. This journey is marked by courage, resilience, unity, and a passion for our craft.
Founded by Henrique Soares and Manuel Relvas in 1974, Sorema faced many challenges during the Portuguese Revolution but persevered through a strong commitment to product development and design. These values established the company as Europe's oldest bath rug manufacturer. Manuel's son, Duarte, later joined, bringing fresh ideas and energy.
The legacy continues with Duarte’s three sons, who grew up in the factory and are now determined to honor their heritage and elevate the company further within the northern Portuguese textile industry.
Today, the company continues to evolve, maintaining a commitment to design and quality. The Sorema family grows steadily, united by strong bonds and a shared vision for the future, building success on teamwork, innovation, know-how and mutual support.
